Mountain biking:
A visit to St. John would be incomplete without a day of mountain biking in the National Park. We'll begin our bike ride on Bordeaux Mountain, where we will climb to the highest point on St. John, 1280 feet above sea level. Then it's a fun, steep descent into Coral Bay where we stop for lunch before biking to the ruins of an old Danish fort. You can be sure that you'll sleep well after this tough day of mountain biking on St. John. The bikes we use are top-quality Cannondale mountain bikes with front suspension.
Hiking:

Because two-thirds of St. John is National Park, the hiking on the island is superb. We'll do the classic hike on the Reef Bay Trail: a six mile, round-trip hike to the ruins of a Danish sugar plantation, with a visit to the waterfall and ancient rock carvings along the way.
Another hike we will do is on the Johnny Horn and Brown Bay Trails. This is a rugged, five mile hike from Leinster Bay to Coral Bay and back, with a stop at beautiful Brown Bay for snorkeling and lunch.
Service Project:
An important element of the program is the idea of "paying back" to the environment and the community for all we have received from them. The final day of our program in the Virgin Islands will be a day in which we volunteer our time to the National Park Service. This will be a day of beach clean-up or trail maintenance in the Park
